GoogleFuck: General Rules and English General English, 8000 sheets of paper, table, 2012
The process of GoogleFucking a text involves taking a quote or found text, stripping it of punctuation, and running it through GoogleTranslate into dozens of other languages, then translating it back in to English. The process is done over and over, cumulatively repeating the initial line of text (Ex: 1. This is an example 2. This is an example this is an example 3. This is an example this is an example this is an example), allowing the mistranslations between languages and the mistakes made by the computer to unpack or overdevelop the text. The title is itself an example: General Rules and English General English is a GoogleFuck of the phrase “A Universal Language”.
